PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording apparatus equipped with a belt cleaning function with a simple structure and capable of cleaning the surface of a belt without providing a variation on the belt even during recording operation. SOLUTION: The inkjet recording apparatus has a conveying means 1 constituted of an endless belt 14 for tightly sticking and conveying a recording medium P, a recording means 2 for delivering ink on the recording medium P and performing recording, and a cleaning means 3 for cleaning the conveying face for the recording medium of the conveying means 1. The cleaning means 3 has a brush roller 31 which is provided under a condition kept in contact with the belt 14 on the downstream side in the conveying direction of a belt 14 more than an arranging position of the recording means 2, and removes the ink stuck on the conveying face for the recording medium, and a straight brush 32 which is provided under a condition being brought into contact with the belt 14 on the downstream side in the conveying direction of the belt 14 more than the brush roller 31, and removes the ink remaining on the conveying face for the recording medium after passing through the brush roller 31.
