PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pants-type diaper having an excellent wearing comfort. SOLUTION: The pants-type diaper 1 has a sheet member 15 having a crotch part 14 located between a front waist surrounding part 12 and a rear waist surrounding part 13 and an absorbent structure extending between the front and rear waist surrounding parts 12 and 13. The sheet member 15 has a buttock abutting part 2 in the rear waist surrounding part 13 that abuts the buttock of the wearer. The buttock abutting part 2 contains a nonwoven fabric that extends and contracts in the width direction of the diaper 1. When measured by KES method, bending stiffness and bending recovery of the buttock abutting part 2 in the width direction is≤9.8×10<SP>-4</SP>N*cm<SP>2</SP>/cm and≤9.8×10<SP>-4</SP>N*cm<SP>2</SP>/cm, respectively, and elongation ratio of the buttock abutting part 2 in the width direction is≥50%. In addition, bending stiffness of a composite body comprising the absorbent structure and the sheet member is≤2.55×10<SP>-2</SP>N*cm<SP>2</SP>/cm in the width direction and≤1.77×10<SP>-2</SP>N*cm<SP>2</SP>/cm in the longitudinal direction.
