PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an immersed nozzle which can suppress drift currents in the directions of the thickness and width of a casting mold. SOLUTION: The cylindrical immersed nozzle 1 having a bottom is used for pouring molten steel to be held in a tundish into a casting mold. A pair of opposed molten steel discharging ports 3 are formed on the peripheral wall of the immersed nozzle 1 at the position separated from the inside bottom surface 2 of the immersed nozzle 1 upward by a required distance, and also a pair of projecting portions 4, 4 are provided on a line on the inside bottom surface 2 so as to be parallel with the opening direction 3A of the molten steel discharging ports 3 in a bottom view of the immersed nozzle 1. Further, the immersed nozzle satisfies the expressions (1) of h/H=0.5 to 2.0 and the expression (2) of c/D=0.1 to 0.6, where h is the height of the upper surface of the projecting portions in the normal cross section for the elongating direction of the projecting portions; H is the distance between the lower end of the inner peripheral side opening edge of the molten steel discharging ports and the inside bottom surface; c is the distance between a pair of the projecting portions, and D is the inside diameter of the immersed nozzle.
