<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aromatic polymer achieving high-degree electricity-generating performance as a proton conducting film for a fuel cell. <P>SOLUTION: [1] The aromatic polymer comprising repeating units having aromatic rings a part or the whole of which have superacid groups, and part or the whole of which have fluoroalkyl groups which may be interrupted with divalent groups.
