<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure of the surface of a vehicle seat which can widen a crew member's sight toward the rear of a vehicle, and can smoothly expand a side air bag, and does not spoil the wear feeling of a seat belt. <P>SOLUTION: The structure of the vehicle seat comprises side support portions 3c arranged on front and side portions 3b of a seat back 3. The side support portions 3c are arranged so as to project from both ends of the front and side portions 3b in the direction of the width of the vehicle. The surface of the seat back 3 is covered with an outer skin. The width of the upper portion of the seat back 3 in the direction of the width of the vehicle is formed to be narrower than the width of the lower portion of the seat back 3. A part of the outer skin is formed of outer skin pieces 5a. The outer skin pieces 5a are arranged on inside portions 3f of the side support portions 3c in the direction of the width of the seat so as to elongate in the vertical direction, and further elongated diagonally upward from upper ends of the inside portions 3f toward side surfaces 3d of the seat back 3 in the direction of the width of the vehicle, and arranged so as to arrive at upper ends of the side surfaces 3d near back surfaces 3e of the seat back 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
