摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a display device by using a simple manufacturing processes, having a touch panel function capable of exactly specifying the position of e.g. an indicating means. <P>SOLUTION: Wire grid 230 is formed in the same layer as electrodes 93 and 94 provided in a region other than the region where an intermediate layer 150 a' is formed in an image display region 10a on a TFT array substrate 10. Thus, in the liquid crystal device 1, the wire grid 230 can be formed in a process common to a process by which the electrodes 93 and 94 are formed, and the manufacturing process of the liquid crystal device can be made simple, as compared with the case a polarizing layer is formed, by applying a dye on the substrate and a light quantity adjusting part can be formed, without requiring to go via complex processes. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
