An electric cooking apparatus and method for cooking low starch food item. The apparatus includes cooking pot, heating unit, rotatable platform, motor unit, user interface, digital weight sensor, and microcontroller unit. The cooking pot receives food item and water. The heating unit heats cooking pot. The rotatable platform holds cooking pot and heating unit. The motor unit rotates rotatable platform upto pre-defined angle. The user interface having plurality of input receiving means to receive command from user. The command is pertaining to type of food item to be cook and plurality of pre-defined option for cooking. The digital weight sensor calculates weight of food item and water placed in cooking pot. The microcontroller unit follows command received by user interface, and stores a pre-programed digital value to compare calculated weight of food item and water received from digital weight sensor to pre-programmed digital values to initiate an audio signal. |
