PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve fuel economy while satisfying a request from a drive of a vehicle 1 in a coasting control device of the vehicle 1 that enables the vehicle 1 to coast.SOLUTION: On the basis of a vehicle speed detected by vehicle speed detection means, a first vehicle acceleration/deceleration that is an acceleration/deceleration of a vehicle 1 if a connection/disconnection clutch 11 is engaged to thereby connect an engine 2 to a drive wheel 7 and supply of fuel to the engine 2 stops while the vehicle 1 travels at the vehicle speed, and a second vehicle acceleration/deceleration that is an acceleration/deceleration of the vehicle 1 inertially travels if the connection/disconnection clutch 11 is disengaged and the vehicle 1 while the vehicle 1 travels at the vehicle speed are calculated. If an acceleration/deceleration requested by a driver of the vehicle 1 is higher than the first vehicle acceleration/deceleration and equal to or lower than the second vehicle acceleration/deceleration, the connection/disconnection clutch 11 is disengaged. |
