PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a press button capable of ensuring a long detecting time for the completion of depression after half-depressed without increasing power consumption, and to provide a photographing apparatus having the press button. SOLUTION: A movable contact piece 10-118, which is long sideways, is disposed across and in contact with the leading end of a pressing shaft part 10-112 extending downward from the depression receiving part 10-111 of the press button 10-11. Before the press button 10-11 is depressed, the contact movable piece 10-118 is kept in contact with a conductive part 10-117. The instant the press button 10-11 is slightly depressed, the movable contact piece is allowed to be released from the contact state.
