PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyurethane water dispersion body for a heat-resistant thermal paper binder which is excellent in heat resistance and moreover has good printing characteristics, a manufacturing method thereof, and a composition and thermal paper using the water dispersion body.

SOLUTION: (C) An intermediate prepolymer which is constituted of (A) a polyol, (H) a hydrophilic-group containing an active hydrogen compound having at least one kind of an anionic hydrophilic group and at least one kind of an active hydrogen containing group and (B) an organic polyisocyanate is obtained. (E) A urethane prepolymer is obtained by making some or all of molecular end isocyanate groups or molecular end hydroxyl groups of (C) the intermediate prepolymer react with (D) an alkoxysilane derivative. (F) A hydrophilic group containing water-series polyurethane resin prepared by neutralizing the anionic hydrophilic group of (E) the urethane prepolymer by ammonia and by emulsifying or dispersing it in water is obtained.
