<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image carrier driving apparatus, a process cartridge, and an image forming apparatus compensating a registration shift by adjustment of rotational speed of an image carrier, eliminating a phase shift in continuous passage of paper in a state with phase matching for each color executed and reducing position shift while maintaining productivity in the continuous passing of paper. <P>SOLUTION: In order to reduce the registration shift, the image carrier driving apparatus is composed so that registration may be matched between each toner image transferred by controlling linear speed for a plurality of image carriers 2Y, 2M, 2C and 2BK with a control means. Then, the speed for each color image carrier 2Y, 2M, 2C and 2BK can be varied between pieces of paper when controlling rotational phase so that color shift may be best controlled by matching the phase of rotational speed variation occurring in each color image carrier 2Y, 2M, 2C and 2BK according to a station pitch between each color. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
