<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a product information providing system suitable for supporting specification confirmation work of a mechanical element. <P>SOLUTION: A customer terminal 110 reads a management number from a two-dimensional barcode attached to the mechanical element, and transmits the read management number. The product information management server 100 extracts, upon receipt of the management number with an acquisition request of product information, a product serial number from the received management number, retrieves a corresponding record from a delivery result information DB 42 based on the extracted product serial number, reads a call number from the retrieved record, retrieves corresponding specification information from a specification information DB 40 based on the read call number, and transmits the retrieved specification information.
