PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To finely crush even a sanitary article etc. SOLUTION: A crushing means 70 is fixed to an intermediate toilet-bowl part 100B among three split toilet-bowl parts. A crushing unit 60 has a crushing means 70 which is composed of rotary blades 74 and 76 meshed with each other. Rotating shafts 70a and 70b of the crushing means are mounted on a mounting member 80. The mounting member is composed of journaling means 90 and 92, and a member (the intermediate toilet-bowl part) for supporting the journaling means 90 and 92. Excrement, the sanitary article, etc. are cut/crushed by the rotary blades. The excrement falls onto the bottom of a reservoir part. During or after crushing treatment, flushing water flows in from the side of an opening, so that the crushed sanitary article can be discharged to the side of a sewer from an exhaust port along with the flushing water. In the maintenance/detection etc. of the crushing means, the whole of the intermediate toilet-bowl part is detached from a toilet bowl. When the intermediate toilet-bowl part is detached from the toilet bowl, an alternative member of the same shape as that of the intermediate toilet-bowl part is used in the state of being mounted and fixed between an upper toilet-bowl part and a bottom toilet-bowl part.
