PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a draining system which can prevent increase in story height, has a simple layout as a whole, ensures a high degree of freedom of a plan, and eliminates a back flow to other appliance drain pipes and water sealing breakage of a drainage trap, and is rational and inexpensive. SOLUTION: In a conventional draining system, waste water from various draining appliances is discharged via horizontal drain pipes 23 to a drain down pipe 1, but as a general rule, sanitary sewage from a toilet bowl T is not converged with the waste water flowing in the horizontal drain pipes 23. On the other hand, according to the present draining system, horizontal drain pipes 2 are arranged in each dwelling unit, and waste water and sanitary sewage discharged from draining appliances of a kitchen K, a toilet bowl T, a prefabricated bath U, a washing and dressing stand S, etc. are converged together via appliance drain pipes 3 to the horizontal drain pipes 2 which are then connected to a drain down pipe 1. Then a vertical head drop is secured at a joint portion between the appliance drain pipe 3 and the horizontal drain pipe 2 such that the overall portion or almost overall portion of the appliance drain pipe 3 is a predetermined height higher than the horizontal drain pipe 2.
