PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elastic plastic damper easy in manufacture, and capable of preventing buckling. SOLUTION: This elastic plastic damper 12 is used for vibration control of a building 10, and is composed of a metallic plate-like body 20 having an upper end part 22 and a lower end part 24 provided for installation in the building.
