摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joint structure and a joint method for the vicinity of an abutment, which enable an extended floor slab and a base to be constructed by cast-in-place, and which can enhance the durability of a bridge. SOLUTION: The vicinity of the abutment section 3 of the bridge 1 comprises: the base 7 which is placed on the top surface of the abutment 4 and the base course of an earthwork section 6; a base-side plate material 9 which is fixed to an upper part of the base 7; the extended floor slab 13 which is extended above the base 7 from the side of a bridge girder 11 to the side of the earthwork section 6; a continuous floor slab 15 which is installed between the bridge girder 11 and the extended floor slab 13; a floor slab-side plate material 17 which is fixed to each of the lower part of the extended floor slab 13 and that of the continuous floor slab 15; and an expansion/contraction device 19 which is installed on the earthwork section 6 side of the extended floor slab 13. When the bridge girder 11 is expanded/contracted due to a change in temperature, the continuous floor slab 15 and extended floor slab 13 slide on the base 7 in the direction of a bridge axis, and the expansion/contraction device 19 is expanded/contracted to absorb the expansion/contraction of the bridge girder 11.
