<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the combination of low-beam lamp units using a light source reduced in infra-red wavelength range such as a semiconductor light-emitting element, by providing a lighting tool for a vehicle equipped with high beam/infra-red ray changeover lamp units capable of irradiating infrared rays on a road face in front of a vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: A third unit 60 in the lighting tool for a vehicle 10 is provided with a projection lens 37 arranged on a light axis Ax extended in the back-and-forth direction of the vehicle, a light source bulb 31 fitted further toward a rear side than a rear-side focus of the projection lens 37, a reflector 33 converging and reflecting light from the light source bulb 31 frontward toward the light axis Ax, a first infrared-ray transmitting filter 59 fitted between the reflector 33 and the projection lens 37, a sub reflection face 33b reflecting a part of light from the light source bulb 31 toward the vicinity of the rear-face side focus of the projection lens 37, and a second infrared-ray transmitting filter 69 fitted around the first infrared-ray transmitting filter 59 for the reflection light from the sub reflection face 33b to transmit through. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
