<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image pickup device capable of increasing the number of pixels of a reconstructed image without degrading image quality of a picked-up image. <P>SOLUTION: This image pickup device includes: an image pickup lens part having an aperture diaphragm; a microlens array part composed by two-dimensionally arranging a plurality of microlenses; an image pickup element for generating picked-up image data based on received light; and image processing part for applying predetermined image processing to the picked-up image data obtained from the image pickup element. The aperture diaphragm of the image pickup lens has a plurality of openings. By restricting luminous flux by the respective openings, only light rays having restricted traveling directions pass through the openings, and are received by the pixels of the image pickup element. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
