PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source device that is not easily influenced by heat generation of fluorescent material and can suppress decrease in light emission efficiency, and a projector using the light source device.SOLUTION: There are provided a light source device 2 and a projector using the light source device 2, the light source device 2 including a light source 10 and a disc-like fluorophor wheel 30 transmitting light from the light source 10, the fluorophor wheel 30 having fluorescent material 34, a filter 36 located further away from the light source 10 than from the fluorescent material 34, and a housing 38 with an inner wall 38A in contact with a side surface of the fluorescent material 34 and a side surface of the filter 36.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
