摘要 According to one embodiment, a solid-state imaging device is provided which comprises a photoelectric conversion element, a floating diffusion, a first capacitor, a first terminal, a second capacitor, a comparator, and a second terminal. The first capacitor is connected at one terminal to the floating diffusion. The first terminal is connected to the other terminal of the first capacitor, and a reference voltage of which the voltage value falls to a predetermined minimum and then rises to a predetermined maximum, is inputted to the first terminal. The second capacitor is connected at one terminal to the floating diffusion. The comparator has the other terminal of the second capacitor connected to its input and compares the potential on the floating diffusion and a threshold. The second terminal is connected to the output of the comparator, and the comparing result of the comparator is outputted via the second terminal.
