PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adjustment machine that reads various kinds of vouchers other than bills, and implements adjustment processing in accordance with the kind thereof and content.SOLUTION: An adjustment machine comprises: an input unit 101 that receives a selection of a product pertaining to a purchase; a slot 102 that inputs and emits bills or vouchers; an input object conveyance passage 103; a determination unit that determines whether the input object is the bill or voucher; a bill recognition unit that recognizes a kind of the bill and amount; an acquisition unit 111 that acquires image data on the bill and voucher; a memory 106 of a voucher database; a voucher recognition unit that recognizes a kind of the voucher and content thereof on the basis of the image data and the database; and a control unit. The control unit 100 is configured to: cause the determination unit to determine that the input object is the bill or voucher; when the input object is the bill, cause the bill recognition unit to recognize the kind of the bill and amount; when the input object is the voucher, cause the voucher recognition unit to recognize the kind of the voucher and content thereof; when it is determined that the voucher is valid, receive the voucher to determine a change amount on the basis of a sales amount of the product selected by the selection unit 101, the amount of the bill, and the content of the voucher; and when it is determined that the voucher is invalid, control the conveyance unit to emit the voucher from the slot 102.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
