PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized portable simplified electrophoretic type zeta electrometer of simple structure used in zeta potential measurement by a moving interface electrophoretic method, capable of forming easily a clear interface, and simplified in an operation. SOLUTION: In this simplified electrophoretic type zeta electrometer provided with a colloid solution storage container having a transparent vertical round tube for observing motion of the interface appeared between a colloid solution and a dispersant therefor, and a pair of electrodes with one thereof arranged in an upper part of the round tube for impressing a voltage along a gravity direction in the vertical round tube, an electrode of a circular planar plate having a diameter slightly smaller than an inside diameter of the vertical round tube is used as the electrode arranged in the upper part of the vertical round tube, or the electrode arranged in the upper part of the vertical round tube is prevented from contacting with the colloid solution by a semipermeable membrane impermeable of the colloid solution.
