PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soup cooker capable of automatically and easily cooking various kinds of vegetable soup or the like full of varieties anytime and anywhere without the need of stewing for a long time just by simply selecting and operating a switch. SOLUTION: The soup cooker is constituted of a container which houses water and food or the like and is opened at an upper part, and a function part which is freely detachably fitted to the container for tightly sealing the container and cooking and working the food or the like inside the container into a desired state. The function part is provided with a food crushing/mixing means, a heating and heat insulating means, a temperature detection means and a control means. The operations of the crushing means and the heating and heat insulating means are controlled according to a prescribed cooking program and soup cooking and other prescribed cooking are performed. Thus, by turning the prescribed amount of vegetables considered as required for a human into an easy-to-drink state of soup, they are easily taken in daily meals. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
