METHOD OF TESTING POOLED BLOOD SAMPLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for forming a sub-pool for use in a test for the presence of a specific agent in a set of fluid samples. SOLUTION: The method includes a process (a) where the respective fluid samples are related to distinct matrix elements of N-dimensional matrices, each of the matrix elements are identified by values of N indices, the N indices correspond one-to-one to the N dimensions of the matrix; a process (b) where N aliquots from each of the fluid samples; and a process (c) combining aliquots to form the subpools such that each of the subpools contains one aliquot from each of the fluid samples related to matrix elements that have an identified value for one of the N indices.
