PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To change the swinging stroke of a fishing rod and certainly prevent infiltration of seawater and moisture into a casing including a motor and a reciprocatingly moving mechanism in a fishing rod-supporting device for holding the fishing rod by moving upward and downward. SOLUTION: A drive unit 7 for swinging a rod-receiving stand 2 is equipped with the casing 8 both ends of which are pivoted on a fixing stand 1, a reciprocatingly moving rod 11 installed to be freely movable in the shaft direction, a closed bellows 15 installed to surround the reciprocally moving rod 11, a reciprocally moving mechanism 10 for moving the reciprocatingly moving rod 11 forward and backward, a roller 13 pivoted on the tip of the reciprocatingly moving rod 11 and contacting to the rod-receiving stand 2 and a stroke control screw 16 for slantly moving the drive unit. The motor 9 and the reciprocatingly moving mechanism 10 are installed in the casing 8 sealed with the closed bellows 15. The stroke control screw 16 changes the upward and downward swinging stroke of the fishing rod by changing a space between a fulcrum pin 3 of the rod-receiving stand 2 and the contact point of the roller 13.
