PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gear oil plug for an elevator hoisting machine having a simple structure, reducing the amount of oil spilled during oil replacement, and reducing labor of oil replacement. SOLUTION: The gear oil plug 50 is mounted to a waste oil port of a gear oil pan of the elevator hoisting machine to prevent oil from being flowed out to outside. The gear oil plug 50 has a plug main body 52, a stopper 54 and a leaf spring 56. An outflow passage through which oil passes is provided in the axial direction inside the plug main body 52. The stopper 54 covers an opening on the gear oil pan side of the outflow passage to prevent inflow of oil from the hoisting machine to the outflow passage. The leaf spring 56 is mounted on a face on the gear oil pan side of the stopper 54 to energize the stopper 54 in the closing side. The stopper 54 is rotated around a hinge pin 66 to open/close the outflow passage. By inserting a bar-shaped tool into the outflow passage to adjust an opening of the stopper 54, oil discharge amount can be adjusted. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
