PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a quantity of ink residue in a container and efficiently discharge ink. SOLUTION: The discharging method for ink uses a freely elevating member 51 that moves a pusher 2 toward the bottom 10c of the container 10 and moves in the reverse direction to the direction of the movement, thereby separating from the pusher 2. The pusher 2 is moved toward the bottom 10c of the container 10 while the entire periphery of the pusher 2 is brought into close contact with the internal face 10b of the container 10 via a first sheet member 31.
