PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To evaluate comfort with high precision in light of a riding condition of an occupant. SOLUTION: A physical volume showing a volume of a space around a seat in a cabin is calculated (102), and a visual volume showing a volume of a space in a vision of an occupant seated on a seat is calculated (104). A comfort value in a riding time t is calculated based on a comfort evaluation function Cs(t) defined according to a physical volume Vp(m<SP>3</SP>), a visual volume Vv(m<SP>3</SP>) and the riding time t of the occupant (106), so as to evaluate comfort in the cabin. The vision of the visual volume is made smaller as a vehicle speed gets higher, so that the visual volume is defined according to the vehicle speed.
