PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable setting the operation force of a latch type lock mechanism without adjusting and changing an open action mechanism. SOLUTION: The storage device for the vehicle comprises a storage device main body 1 attached to a vehicle body, a cover element 3 attached to an opening portion 2 of the storage device main body 1 so as to freely open/close, an open action mechanism provided between the storage device main body 1 and the cover element 3 and energizing the cover element 3 in an opening direction, the latch type lock mechanism provided between the storage device main body 1 and the cover element 3 and structured to alternately repeat locking and releasing of locking, and a seal rubber 7 attached to a peripheral edge portion of the opening portion 2 and capable of sealing the opening portion 2 between the cover element 3 and the seal rubber 7.
