PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a network monitoring device for monitoring the temporary detachment of a device based on a UPnP protocol and a UPnP network system having the monitoring device. SOLUTION: This device for monitoring the network detachment of a UPnP device is provided with: a network port 210 to which a device to be monitored is connected; a monitoring part 230 for monitoring the link state of the network port 210; and a monitoring part 230 for monitoring the link state of the network port 210. The monitoring part 230 is characterized to decide that the device to be monitored has been detached from a network when detecting the link-down of the network port 210 to which the device to be monitored is connected, and to output a notification packet showing the result.
