<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber in which a bent loss characteristic is improved without preparing voids around the core. <P>SOLUTION: The optical fiber comprises: a first core 10 having a positive refractive index and an outer diameter D1 of 7-9μm; a second core 20 provided to cover the first core 10, comprising pure quartz, and having an outer diameter D2 of 45-65μm; a first cladding 30 provided to cover the second core 20 and having a negative refractive index; and a second cladding 40 provided to cover the first cladding 30 and comprising pure quartz. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
