PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adjust the output level of a transmission signal automatically and properly, even if the output level of a transmission signal, outputted from a transmission apparatus of television broadcast signal, fluctuates between the broadcast channels.SOLUTION: In a level checker 40 for selecting an arbitrary broadcast channel among the transmission signals flowing through the transmission path of a television broadcast reception system, and measuring the signal level of the television broadcast signals, when the operation mode is switched to a mode for adjusting the output level from an amplifier on the transmission path, a controller 60 controls a channel selection unit 46 to select all broadcast channels of the television broadcast signals, and to identify the television broadcast signal of a broadcast channel having the highest signal level, and then controls a transmission unit 54 to transmit a control signal for output level adjustment to the amplifier, so that the signal level (or signal quality) of the television broadcast signal of the identified broadcast channel becomes a target level (or optimum level).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
