PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charging control device and a charging control method capable of efficiently charging a battery with a power converted by a DC-DC converter.SOLUTION: A charging control device comprises: an acquisition part that acquires upper and lower limit values of a charging rate of a battery that enables the battery to be charged with a conversion efficiency of a DC-DC converter equal to or more than a preliminarily defined conversion efficiency; a detector that detects the charging rate of the battery by detecting a voltage of the battery; and a controller that controls the DC-DC converter to charge the battery with a preliminarily defined constant power in a case where the charging rate detected by the detector becomes equal to or less than the lower limit value acquired by the acquisition part, and performs control to stop the DC-DC converter in a case where the charging rate becomes equal to or more than the upper limit value acquired by the acquisition part during the charging of the battery.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
