<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable length packet exchange and exchange method by which the band control and transmission priority control of a packet flow are attained. <P>SOLUTION: Each output port interface of the packet exchange is provided with a transmission priority controller that classifies a transmission packet received from a packet exchange unit into queue groups by a prescribed algorithm and conducts queuing depending on transmission priority in each queue group and a packet read controller that reads a transmission packet from each of the queue groups according to the transmission priority while warranting a band assigned to each queue group. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
