The present invention relates to an electrolytic reduction apparatus and an electrolytic reduction method for a metal oxide using a conductive oxide ceramic positive electrode. More specifically, the electrolytic reduction apparatus comprises: a crucible (10) including molten salt (60); a negative electrode basket (30) immersed in the molten salt (60), and filled with metal oxide (35); a conductive oxide ceramic positive electrode (40) immersed in the molten salt (60); and a standard electrode (50) immersed in the molten salt (60). Provided is a conductive oxide ceramic material which is able to be applied to the electrolytic reduction process of metal oxide using high temperature molten salt in place of Pt. |
