PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a torque measuring apparatus for accurately measuring the running torques of rolling-element bearings pre-loaded in an inexpensive and simple structure.SOLUTION: A torque measuring apparatus is equipped with a housing 2 that holds an outer ring 1a of a rolling-element bearing 1, a fitting body 3 that is engaged with and transmits turning force to an inner ring 1b, a torque sensor 8 linked to the fitting body 3, a rotational drive unit 110 that generates rotational force, a hanging body 16 comprising the torque sensor 8 and a frame 15 holding the rotational drive unit 110 inside, and a plumb 17 suspended from the hanging body 16. The deadweights of the hanging body 16 and the plumb 17 constitute pressing means to impose a load on the rolling-element bearing 1 in the axial direction, and the gravity center positions of the hanging body 16 and the plumb 17 are arranged on the extension of the rotational axis of the fitting body 3.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
