PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a stress to be applied to a peripheral part of a liquid crystal display panel to suppress a deterioration in display quality of the panel.SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display panel comprises: a recessed container 1; a backlight device 12 that is placed on its bottom face; a frame body 11 that has a collar part 11c covering an opening end of the container 1 and is locked to a lateral wall 1a of the container 1; an inner frame body 4 that is located at an end of the bottom face of the container 1; and a transparent protective plate 7 that has the center part of a surface on the backlight device 12 side joined to the liquid crystal display panel 5. The liquid crystal display panel 5 includes a first gap G1 with the backlight device 12; the frame body 11 has an opening covered by the collar part 11c outside the contour of the liquid crystal display panel 5 in plan view and includes a second gap G2 between the color part 11c and transparent protective plate 7; the inner frame body 4 includes a third gap G3 between the backlight device 12 and its lateral face and an extention part 4a entering the first gap G1, where the extention part 4a is joined to the peripheral part of the liquid crystal display panel 5.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
