PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molding method for a coil element for a rotary electric machine and a molding apparatus for a coil element for a rotary electric machine that mold a coil element in a shape as designed without damaging a surface.SOLUTION: A molding method for a coil element for a rotary electric machine includes: an S-shape molding step S1 of forming an S-shaped part 13 in a substantially S shape on a first plane P1 at a substantially center part of a linear wire material 21 for a coil; a first bending step S2 and a second bending step S3 of bending leg parts 14 and 15 more on both end sides than the S-shaped part 13 in mutually approaching directions; and a mountain shape molding step S4 of molding a mountain-shaped part 11 including the S-shaped part 13 as a substantial top part. |
