The present invention relates to: a pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating abnormal weight loss, containing a citrus unshiu peel extract or fractions thereof; and a method for preventing or treating abnormal weight loss by using the same. The citrus unshiu peel extract enables the body to recover from weight loss by inhibiting the loss of fat weight and muscle weight, thereby having an excellent effect of treating abnormal weight loss.
