A radar device mounted to a moving object includes a radar transmission unit that transmits a radio-frequency radar transmission signal from a transmission antenna, at each transmission cycle, and a radar reception unit that receives a returning signal that is the radar transmission signal reflected off of a target, by a plurality of reception antennas. The radar reception unit includes a plurality of antenna system processing units that perform correlation processing of returning signals and the radar transmission signals, and generate correlation signals including arrival delay information of the returning signals, an electric power profile generating unit that generates an electric power profile for each arrival direction of the returning signals and Doppler frequency component, using the correlation signals acquired by the plurality of reception antennas, and a stationary object group distribution generating unit that, based on the electric power profile of the returning signals, obtains a first distribution of a Doppler frequency component of a stationary object group including a plurality of stationary objects in the perimeter of the moving object, for each azimuth angle. |
