Disclosed herein is a die press (10) that includes a base (12, 30) and an opposing upper platen (28), one of the base (12) or the upper platen (28) being moveable relative to the other, the base (12, 30) having at least one lateral side, a retaining clip (34) attached to the lateral side, wherein the first (14) and second (16) base extensions together with the base (12, 30) define a cavity (39), and wherein the grooves in the first and second base extensions (14, 16) are adapted for movement of a shuttle into and from the working area between the upper platen (28) and the base (12, 30).
