<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the handling of a game medium so that a player can be made to feel a game real and to enable the execution of the diversified game by using the data recorded in the game medium. <P>SOLUTION: The game apparatus executes the game processing corresponding to a position indicated by a gun controller 12 which is formed in a gun shape against a screen displayed by a display device 23, wherein the gun controller 12 has two or more projectile insertion sections 301, 302 to 30n for the insertion of a plurality of storage mediums formed in projectile shapes (a user data projectile 14 and a projectile data projectile 16) and data reading sections 321, 322 to 32n to read out the data recorded in the inserted recording mediums.
