The invention relates to antiseptic preparations for producing wound dressings or bandage materials. Said antiseptic preparations comprise at least one alginate and at least one antiseptic which is selected among the group encompassing biguanide derivatives, octenidine, and taurolidine. Also disclosed are methods for producing the inventive antiseptic preparations as well as the use thereof.
