PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner which easily fits the locking piece of an installation frame body in the locking recessed part of an indoor unit even if the claw part of the locking recessed part is broken. SOLUTION: This air conditioner in which the locking piece of the installation frame body attached to a wall in a room, is fitted in the claw part of the locking recessed part of the indoor unit to mount the indoor unit on the installation frame body, is provided with a reinforcing metal fitting 105 having: a body 108 fitted to the locking recessed part 100 of the indoor unit; a reinforcing claw part 106 formed on the body and shaped after the shape of the end of the claw part 104 of the locking recessed part; and an engagement projecting piece 107 formed on the body and engaged with the inner end wall of the claw part of the locking recessed part. The locking piece of the installation frame body is engaged with the reinforcing claw part of the reinforcing metal fitting mounted in the locking recessed part of the indoor unit, and thereby the indoor unit is mounted on the installation frame body.
