PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve an operation lifetime, while reconciling compactness with arm rigidity when folding the arm. SOLUTION: A gripper driving shaft 6 for transferring a driving force for moving up and down a gripper 9 in a gripper unit 8 to a gripper lifting mechanism 10 is drawn out of a body shell 1, guided to the gripper unit 8 along an upper arm 3, while being supported by the upper arm 3, and drawn into the gripper unit 8 from the lower side of the upper arm 3, and a reinforcing rib plate is provided on a section of the upper arm 3.
