PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a versatile vehicle sensor for tire air pressure that senses decrease in vehicle tire air pressure, which does not require complex processings. SOLUTION: The tire air pressure sensor is provided with an acceleration detection means 1 for detecting vertical acceleration of a vehicle V; an analysis means 2 for obtaining a frequency (a) of an absolute value ¾Gz¾ of the detected vertical acceleration Gz exceeding a thresholdα; and an air pressure determination means 3 for determining that the vehicle tire air pressure has decreased, if the obtained frequency (a) is a frequency threshold ofβor lower.
