PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure a dimension measurement function capable of obtaining the dimension of a measuring object easily and simply under an optional environment in an imaging device. SOLUTION: An optional article or the like is made to be photographed as a measurement reference object A, and the image is previously stored together with the actual dimension of a specific part. In measuring the dimension, the measuring objects B1-B5 and the measurement reference object A are photographed as a subject, and an image for measurement is acquired. Respective regions corresponding to the measurement reference object A and the measuring objects B1-B5 are recognized in the image for measurement. The resolution is calculated based on the size of the specific part of the measurement reference object A on image space and the actual dimension, then the dimensions of the short side and long side of the measuring objects B1-B5 are calculated based on the size on the image space of the measuring objects B1-B5, and the calculation result is superposed and displayed on the image for measurement. Without concern for the photographing distance at all, the dimension measurement can be performed only by photographing the measuring objects B1-B5 in the state where the reference object A is stored in a part of an angle of view.
