PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drain pan capable of easily discharging residual drainage in the drain pan without needing large force; and an indoor machine for an air conditioner comprising the drain pan. SOLUTION: This drain pan 30 receiving the drainage dropping from a heat exchanger 13 of the indoor machine 10 for the air conditioner at its lower side, comprises a drainage receiving portion 31 receiving and storing the drainage, a drain passage 35 for discharging at least a part of the drainage stored in the drain receiving portion 31 to a lower side, and a check valve 50 mounted in the drain passage 35. The check valve 50 has a valve element 51, and the valve element 51 improves its water-tightness by being pressed by the drainage stored in the drainage receiving portion 31, and opened by being pressed upward.
