PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply device, along with a carriage, which can be charged during a short period of operation, to operate the carriage until the next charging. SOLUTION: The power supply device includes a capacitor 20 which is connected to a charge power supply source 3 provided to stations 2A and 2B for loading/unloading a work W to/from a carriage 1, for accumulating electric charges, a current limiting circuit 21 which is connected to the capacitor 20 to limit an output current from the capacitor 20, and an converter 22 which is connected to the current limiting circuit 21 to output a power regulated to a specified voltage V3 to the carriage 1.
