<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing apparatus improved to prevent mixing of toner in a developing chamber (a first chamber) and toner in a toner storage part (a second chamber) having a simple structure, even when using a toner of high flowability, and to supply a new toner from the toner storage part to the developing chamber by only the amount of toner which is to be used in the developing chamber. <P>SOLUTION: The first chamber and the second chamber are provided that communicate with each other via a communicating port, and at least one first/second chamber-agitating member is arranged in each of the first and second chambers. The first chamber-agitating member closest to the communicating port is positioned so that the longitudinal direction of this first chamber-agitating member and the longitudinal direction of the communicating port do not overlap with each other, and the second chamber agitating member, closest to the communicating port, is positioned so that the longitudinal direction of this second chamber agitating member and the longitudinal direction of the communicating port overlap, at least in part with each other; and at least in one longitudinal part where the communicating port is located, the height dimension of a lowest part of the communicating port is formed larger than the height dimension of a lowest part inside the first chamber. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
